Photo Diary: Kokkola, Finland

I never found time to publish this photo diary from last summer. I have now lived half year in Kokkola but when I took these photos it was my first proper visit to this Finnish summer city (and I had no idea I would soon live in this small city). Here is short photo travel around normal small city from Finland. Enjoy!

I didn’t have any texts to write today (why am I always too busy?) so I hope you enjoyed the photos! I love the last one because I took it when I was totally lost. Those photos usually have the best memories for me… Also the photos are quite dark because it was stormy day so sorry for the bad quality!

Like always all comments are welcomed. Have you ever visited Finland? Or do you maybe live here?
With love,

Viivi Severina

  1. Love the photos but not as much as I love Finland! I spent last year working in Ivalo and hope to live in Finland in the future.
I miss the peace and quiet.

    1. Hello Miksu! I hope you can one day fill your dream and live in Finland. Even if I dream about living in somewhere else one day I agree with you, my home country is really beautiful. Thanks for commenting 🙂

    1. Haha, that is the real side of Finland. Dark and basic (and somehow I still love it more than the travel magazine photos). Thank you so much for nominating me! And I am also always looking forward for reading more of your stuff. 🙂

  2. Someday when we have the chance, we will re-explore Finland. Only been to Turku, Heksinki and Rovaniemi, the main tourist spots. Sorry! That’s where we usually start from!

  3. I like the stormy photos, they’re atmospheric. I haven’t been to Finland, but I really want to since we went to Vyborg (on the Russian border) and to Talinn. So close, but not quite! We had stormy weather for those days too, and I like the kind of tense, slightly sinister feeling you get from that.

    1. We have stormy weather often here in the nordic! 😀
I hope you get to visit Finland one day even if it may be kind of similar to Russia and Estonia (but then again Finland can feel totally different). Thanks for commenting! 🙂
