Photo Diary: Lost in Finnish Forest

So, when you are short of time (because I may have got invited suddenly to summer job interview) and you live in Finland there is one subject you can always write without any problems. Our beautiful forests. Where ever you go in Finland you can find forests. It is our tourists magnet and beloved part of our lives.

I could not imagine my life without small trips to isolated quiet forests. I have done something like this before but I don’t think there can ever be enough photos of Finnish beauty. I hope you can enjoy these winter photos from Finnish forest.

  1. Beautiful! Finnish forests are really atmospheric and stunning in all seasons. The reason I first became interested in Finland more than 10 years ago was because I read that the country is 70% covered in forest. Now that has changed my life completely – I’m now married to a Finn and planning to move there to enjoy even more of what the forests have to offer! 🙂

    1. Yeah our forest are something unique! I am always happy to hear about people who are interested about my home county. Maybe you will move here some day (and in that case, WELCOME!) 🙂

  2. Viivi, thank you for sharing the pictures – it brings back such wonderful memories of our family’s time in Finland. We lived in Olari, Espoo. The apartment we lived in was across the street from the forest and we would often venture in the forest to explore. We also spent a great deal of time going up to Nuuksio forest as well. What forest were your pictures taken in?

    1. Nuuksio really is beautiful place to explore around (but so are most of the Finnish forests I think.) These photos are taken from forest right next to my family’s home near Tampere. We also live right next to forest. Thank you for commenting! 🙂
